During Ramadhan, staff at Fazila Foods pooled together to raise more than £500 for end-of-life care charity, Marie Curie.

Tasked with raising as much money as possible – and in line with Ramadhan’s focus on helping others and undertaking charitable activities, staff were delighted to learn that they had raised enough money to help fund 25 hours of specialist care for families facing terminal illness.

Fazila Malek, Director of the Bolton based manufacturer of ethnic foods extended her gratitude to all her staff, with a brief note, reading “Thank you to everyone who took part and helped us to fundraise for Marie Curie.

“Ramadhan is all about helping others less fortunate than ourselves and I am thrilled that we have been able to support Marie Curie and their team of community nurses. The charity’s services have never been more in demand, offering compassionate end-of-life care for patients and their families, within their homes or one of Marie Curie’s nine dedicated hospices. We are very grateful to all staff for helping us to raise this fantastic amount and hope that it helps to bring comfort and peace to those in need.”
