Our Rissoles

The Half Moon appetizer; favourite to the portugese, combines a unique creamy chicken or vegetable filling with a light, crispy shell of breadcrumbs to give an unusual snack, or the best part of a main meal which can be served hot or cold with rice or salad. Fazilas' Rissoles can be oven baked (once brushed with oil), or deep shallow fried for best results.
Pre-heat cooking oil to 170C and place Rissoles into oil before frying 6 - 8 minutes or until golden brown in colour.
Alternatively, place Rissoles on a baking tray and bake in the centre of a pre-heated oven on Gas Mark 7 (220C) for 8 - 10 minutes, turning half way.
