Fazilas move to new Production Facility

When housewife Fazila Malek first opened her frozen food shop in Bolton, in 1999, little did she know that within a few short years her business would be expanding into a 6,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility.

Using traditional recipes Fazila's business produces a range of quality hand made ready meals, made entirely from fresh ingredients and Halal meat.

Demand for her products has been high and the business currently has a distribution network delivering to outlets nationwide, including Scotland.

"We started to turn business away as we just couldn't keep up with the demand in our Derby Street premises, so we decided we would have to look for a new building with more space," commented Abdul Malek, Fazila's husband, who also runs the business.

"The unit we have bought at Waters Meeting on Britannia Way, meets our requirements perfectly, with ample yard space and excellent security. More importantly it's not far from our existing shop, and as many of our employees walk to work, it's a good for them too."

Fazila Foods currently employs 27 people and hopes to take on more staff when they move in to the bigger premises and increase production further.

"We are delighted to welcome Fazila Foods to Waters Meeting," said Michael Boys, Director at B&E Boys. "Their business is a real success story and we are happy to help continue their expansion and create more job opportunities in the area."
