SALSA

SALSA is the Food Safety Certification Scheme for small to medium sized producers.

With the growing popularity of local and regionally sourced products among industry and consumers, the scheme provides national and regional buyers with the confidence that SALSA approved businesses not only make fantastic products, but do so in a safe and legal manner.

SALSA is supported by the Food Standards Agency, DEFRA and by the majority of the UK’s leading retailers and food service providers.

HMC

HMC is a non profit making organisation set up to monitor, inspect and certify Halal products, in particular the Halal meat and poultry sector. HMC was established in early 2003 consisting of various Ulama (Muslim Scholars) and figures from diverse backgrounds.

HMC has been set up to work in the favour of all Muslims; consumers, retailers and suppliers.

EMBF|NW

The EMBF NW awards are designed to highlight, profile and reward the significant contribution made by minority ethnic communities to the Northwest region. The growth of economic, social and cultural development within the Northwest has given rise to the prominence of BME businesses and their influence in achieving and sustaining real growth.
